Should you hire a professional wedding photographer?

When it comes to planning your dream wedding costs soon start adding up.
However when it comes to remembering your wedding day, here are some reasons not skimp on your wedding photography and simply asking your friend to take some photos.

1. There is more to photography than just a camera.
It’s experience of the person using the camera that produces amazing creations.
You want someone who knows how to use the camera, who has experience with different light, different conditions, setting up different shots and executing it perfectly. The camera doesn’t do this, the photographer does. With this you get consistency, not one or two stunning photos, but a whole album of memories.
2. A friend needs more direction from you.
A professional photographer will have years of experience capturing photos, they will know the best locations to go to, how to set the angles, backdrops and will usually have a back up plan if weather is bad.
They will know how the day flows, from getting ready, entry and exiting vehicles, where to be in the church or venue for the best results, without getting in the way.
Remember you only get one chance to get it right
3. What If…
What if…? What if the photographer is ill, if there is anything unforeseen, their computer hard drive fails? A professional photographer will have a plan B, they shall have other photographers to call upon, they will have copies and back ups of everything. An amateur may not have a plan B and may not be able to afford to back up everything up, where their reputation is on the line for a professional.
When the big day is over, apart from memories all you have are photos, photos you you will have for years to come, photos of friends, family. Photos to share with your children and grandchildren….
